Brief History: Father: Hokio, Business Owner
Mother: Annika, Pilot (Deceased)

Sky grew up on the Big Island of Hawaii with her mother, father, and twin sister. Her mother taught her and her sister to fly as soon as they were able to walk. She also had both work close by when fixing her plane, giving them as much insight into the task as possible. Their father taught them how to surf, dance and about the history of the Hawaiian culture.
Sky became a surfing queen and won many competitions by the age of 8. She was widely known for her talent on the ocean and into her teenage years, she was also known for her daredevil recklessness in the skies. Despite this, she obtained her piloting license at the ripe age of 17 years.
At the age of 18, Sky’s mother disappeared over the ocean in a violent storm. Neither she, nor the aircraft was ever recovered.
The loss of her mother tossed Sky into uncertainties and she moved away from her father and twin sister to California but never far from the ocean. She joined the ROTC program at UC Davis and began her BS in Aeronautical Science as well as Aviation mechanic. She completed the program at the age of 23 and was well on her way to being an officer in the USAF.
The Air Force offered the chance to fly all the best and most high tech jets known to man. She knew she just needed to be in the air and to go fast. With her background, she had already been brought up in an environment of flying, fixing and tweaking so she again flew through her studies rather effortlessly.
The Air Force was hesitant to commission the young pilot. Though Sky had outstanding grades and impeccable maintenance skills, her leadership and attitude was hardly professional at times. Her OTS was bumpy at best but her skills always seemed to win out in their decisions. Her first assignment was at Langley AFB, Va flying F-22s at the young age of 24.
Her first duty station was a bit rough and her career never got better. The superior officers always gave the same report about her. They disliked her attitude but were amazed with her excellent piloting skills. They found that she could not only perform daredevil stunts in the fighters but repair most maintenance issues before the technicians did. The real problem was … she knew she was awesome.

“This is the course?” Sky glanced at her sister from the lappy screen, in disbelief. “This is suicide.” She walked over to the bed and stood over her sister. She tossed in on the bed in frustration.
Mirage lay back on Sky’s bed as she flipped her boots off her feet casually. “Nahh, you’ve conquered every course sit up thus far anywhere in the known universe. That is why I ask you to
take my place. You’re the best.” She seemed more relaxed then one should be in her situation. There was a difference between a challenge and just stupid.
“And why would you volunteer for this in the first place?” she shot back. “This is not like you, Mirage. What are you not telling me?”
Her sister was never known for being the sharpest tool in the shed but this was even beyond her. Her body language changed and her eyes darkened. She pulled herself up from the blankets and pillows, folding her legs beneath her. “I’ve got myself into some…trouble.”
Sky let the words blow over her. This did not surprise her. The fact that Mirage was here at all validated that she had fallen into some trouble. “Worse then normal?” she said sarcastically. Sky
took a seat next to her sister, not in any mood to play her sister’s games. “Tired of your bull shit. Spill it!”
Mira looked even more defeated now that she knew she was not going to get any sympathy from Sky. “One of my deliveries…didn’t make it and I have to repay them for the merchandise. The winnings for the race is enough to pay them back.”
Sky blinked her eyes slowly and shook her head. Something didn’t sit well with her. The anxiety that always came when her sister visited found its way into every muscle in her body. “There are
other ways to get money. Explain to me why I need to do this for you.”
“Sky, you need to do this.”
Sky’s face fell when she saw her pleading sister’s eyes. She was deathly afraid of something but what? “I need you to do this. If there was ever a day when something needed to be done, this is it. Please, Sky. Don’t let me down now.”
Silence fell over the two as Sky looked for a reason to deny her request. She wanted to kick herself for what she was about to do. “When?” she said evenly.
“You need to leave tomorrow afternoon at the latest.” Mirage got up and sifted through her duffle. She tossed some clothes to her. “The race is in about 35 hours. Your ship will be waiting for you.” Sky bit her tongue to stop from cussing her sister out up and down. This
was by far the stupidest… “You will have to pose as me and I you. No one can figure out that we are not who we say we are.”
“I need specs on the puddle jumper you have me flying and I’ll need…”
“I need your uniform so your superior think I am Sky ."
Sky glance at her sister in confusion and then it faded to a grim defeat. “You could put me in a bad position if this is found out. Inpersonating an officer…”
“Just come back in one piece and that will not be an issue. The race only takes a day so that’s two days that I play Sky. What could happen in two days?”
Sky ran a hand over her face and through her hair. Everything can go wrong in two days. She had managed to sidestep every brass in the Air Force and keep at least four boys happy at the same time but her sister was something she couldn’t just let go. The woman gave sisters a
bad name. “If I answer that I think I’ll be sick.”
“Come on, sis. How hard could it be to be a pilot on leave?”
Sky stood up from the bed and walked over to her closet and tossed her uniform on the bed. “Stay away from every one of the people in my squadron.” She sent a glare Mirage’s way. “Everyone of them. If you
screw this up, you are going to wish this racing course did kill me.” Her gaze returned to the closet. “This is about the…”
“Thanks, sis!” Mirage jumped up and ran to her sister’s side. She gave her a kiss on the cheek and headed for Sky’s closet.
“You’re not the only one with connections, you know. I can make you disappear so fast it would make your head spin,” she yelled behind her as she pulled an outfit from the back of her closet.
When she didn’t receive an answer, she gave a large sigh. She had to be nuts.
