2205 BC-304/6 “Serenity” Briefing Room
When Marah’s question ran through her head, Pooja sighed, there was no getting things past Law, “Marah, I just left a 5 month old son behind, who still needs to be - ” she cut off. When it hit her how she was meant to tell her friend that Jason was still being breastfed in front all these men. Irritated with the situation she grunted. She and Jerry had never left Jason for more than few hours the most. But not being able to see her son would kill her.
Nearly snapped her hands at another set of hands touched her head. Seeing Richardson, Pooja let the woman take a look at her injuries, “No, I slipped and broke my ankle,” Garcia replied sarcastically but took the pills and drowned them with water. Glad it was going to do some good for the pounding and hopefully numb her brain. Stopping her from thinking till her head exploded was better than nothing.
Sighing she looked at Law, “I never left him with sitters or my parents for more than few hours. I’m more worried how Jerry’s going to cope with Jason alone. Given our situation of possible KIA in the view of those who saw in the fight, Jerry won’t able to handle this and the baby. My husband could shoot a bullet blindly, but a taking care of a baby alone is out of his league.”

Smite was finally release from the Assistant CMO and bolted out of the door. He pulled out his radio and started to speak, "Any marines released from the medical ward, and Flight Lieutenant Syaira meet me at bridge deck Armory." He'll probably be asked why not use the briefing room, but it appears that Dr. Gracia and a few others needed to be alone in there, and Smite was given an order even if it meant using an alternative room for briefing people on a mission.

Marah stared at Pooja, her eyes showed that she felt for the woman, but she needed her best friends head in the mission at hand. That mission was the survival of the crew. She watched as Brian was given the okay and left to get the team ready for the mission. Marah turned to Bates. "Doctor, I need you to continue fixing the primary systems. I believe there is a passanger awaiting you in the engineering area willing to help." she turned to pooja next as they both got up to leave. "Pooja, I know you are worried, I'm sure he can manage a few more hours. I will get you back to him, I just need your help with this now. They may know where we are so we can go home" she explained to her friend as they both walked out of the room.

Will came running down the corridors, he was covered in black smudges and his flight jacket was burnt in places but the man seamed in good health none the less. "Captain, whats going on?" he asked the man as they headed towards the armory. Soon they were joined by Richardson and continued their way to the armory.

"Captain, whats going on?" he heard from behind as Syaira and Richardson were approaching from behind. "Well to make it short. We've jumped out in the middle of a recent battlefield, We just received an S.O.S from presumably one of the ships that was battling, and Lieutenant Colonel Law is assembling a search team including us, in hopes of getting help from these people." he said as they arrived at the armory, with the marines no where in sight. "Come on, there has to marines ready by now." he said looking at the ends of the corridors. He swipes a card into the panel and opens the door, he then looks at the other two. "Get geared up, while I see what's keeping our marines." he said as the two men entered the room. He reaches into his radio and begins to speak into it, "Smite to Medical Ward. If there's any marines ready for duty, get them down here, Bridge Deck, Armory, A.S.A.P." he said, not waiting for a response as he entered the room himself and started getting some equipment.

She was torn, she knew that; she was a emotional wreck, she knew that also. Sighing she took couple of deep breaths and tried to steady herself. Once she felt tiny bit of calmness, she nodded to Marah, “I’ll do the best I can. I’ll try Marah, but it’s not something I can’t promise.”
Looking around at the faces, “What I gotta do?” She would get back to her boys alive or die trying.

2205 BC-304/6 'Serenity' Medical Ward
Nek had about enough and knew that he was needed else where and started getting up. The nurse told him to lie down, but he got up to his feet reguardless. "Look I got somewhere else to be right now. You got your hands full and I'm not going to wait around. I'll be fine, so why don't you let me go and tend to your other patiences who actually can't move, and don't tell me about medical protocols, because at the moment I don't care." As he started walking out ignoring the pain that came from each step he look back at the nurse. "Oh and someone wants whatever marines are ready for duty to report to the armory in the bridge deck....in case you didn't hear the radio."
2210 Engineering
Arriving in Engineering, he bring up a keycard. I sure hope this works. Only use in an emergency she says...well this is a matter of emergency, I think. he thought to himself as he swipe the card into the panel and the door opened. He proceeded directly to the workstation in the far corner of the room, away from the core, and try getting information about what the situation is. He heard footsteps approaching and as he turned around, he finds himself looking at an old friend. Smiling, Nek says "What took you so long to get back in here, huh?"

OOC: Sorry kids been busy. But Killer post shall save me!
2202 BC-304/6 “Serenity” Briefing Room
Simon stood there, he knew what he stated would make them unhappy. But there was no point lying about the condition that they were in. The chances of dying from a dying star was 40% and the death from loss of atmosphere and damaged systems was 40%, there was a 20% they’d survive… it was small. But he decided not to alert them to those findings. Law began to talk; it was slightly annoying that she had no idea what he just said. But all military were like that; unintelligent gung ho psycho’s… he had enough of that from one drunk Satedan. "I think that is a good idea, they might not be a technological race like the ancients but they maybe able to help or at least tell us where we are"[/i]. Simon sighed; was there any point in correcting her? No; but he decided to do it anyway. “Um; how would they know where we are? They don’t have a reference point for earth either. We could be systems, galaxies even universes away from our previous location. They could also not speak English. Just because they have ships; doesn’t make them intelligent or knowledgeable about ships. Some races; Goa’uld, Wraith… even us. We stole other ships before getting our own. Putting a team on that ship is a dangerous move for many reasons” he said pausing before continuing. “One; shields need to be dropped to allow transport. If we drop them, all critical and hull damage will be opened into space. Two; we’d loose a team if they aren’t friendly.”
“Okay Simon what do you need to get Sub lights, shields and weapon online. I have teams now repairing all the damaged decks and patch jobs"[/i]. “We need material for that; and that will take all of our reserve Trinium and Naquadah. Its not a five minute job to repair a hull breach. First you have to decompress the area then; you need a laser to cut the piece to length and then coat it with a biopolymer….” He stopped after realising everyone in the room was clueless. “It will take several hours to get back to somewhat a low operational status.” he said before pausing. “But I won’t guarantee things will be operational. If you are going to go ahead with this bad plan. I’ll focus on the sublight engines and shield systems first” he stated as a radio squawk came through. "Simon, you have better be on this channel, and with some good news perhaps?"[/i]. Simon sighed. “You remember that time when the replicators were about to squish us or the time where the razors were about to slice us. Think fifty times worse; meet me in engineering. We got work to do” he replied to his annoying but faithful ancient colleague. Simon thought about that word; Colleague; He smiled realising maybe he did care about Nek after all. "Doctor, I need you to continue fixing the primary systems. I believe there is a passenger awaiting you in the engineering area willing to help."[/i]. Simon sighed yet again; “Yes, remember TIME!” he said throwing his hands in the air. He heard from the other doctor a silent question. “What I gotta do?”[/i]. “Well since your area in sociology, help the morale of everyone on board. Looking sad and such won’t help people on board.” he replied harshly. Before shrugging, “You know where I’ll be for the next hours.” he said as he walked out with his laptop.
2210 Engineering Room
Simon walked in and saw people standing around; “I leave and you become more incompetent. Well done” he said to everyone as he saw Nek. He shooed the man away like he’d always done. "What took you so long to get back in here, huh?"[/i]. Simon put one finger up; “One word, Military” he said rolling his eyes. “They think everything can be fixed in seconds… The damage “ he said pointing to the huds image of the ship. “Will take hours. They want to go to a damaged ship from a battle engagement. You believe that; what idiot thinks going to a damaged ship is a good idea. Our shield strength is failing due to closing the breaches. But if we get attacked; we’re screwed. We need sublight working, at least to 50%. Anything less and we have to get 302’s to grapple hook us there.” he said as he brought up the power grid to the engines. “We could seal all decks with breaches.. That would allow the shields to recharge. But we’d be exposing allot of rooms to space.” Simon said scratching his head. “Sometimes I miss that Asgard” Simon muttered to his friend.

William grabbed a zat weapon and a P-90 for himself and handed another pair of weapons to Kelly. "You never know doc" he said to here look at the weapons, the shrug she gave let him know she was not really comfortable with the idea but was willing to defend herself if needed. Will was about to turn to Brian and report them ready when a radio message came in reply to Brian's message. "Captain, General Czaski. The Marines are awaiting in the hanger bay with me. We are waiting near the Jumper so get the rest of the team armed and head down here" the general replied. Will thought the General was just an arrogant russian but he would not say that to him.

Gearing up with a P-90 at hand, a Zat gun on the side, and a couple of flashbangs, Smite starts heading out the door, looking around for anything else he may need. "Captain, General Czaski. The Marines are awaiting in the hanger bay with me. We are waiting near the Jumper so get the rest of the team armed and head down here" he heard on the radio. "Understood Sir. Kelly, Syaira, and myself are leaving the bridge deck armory coming your way." he replied. He looks back at Kelly and Syaira, "Last second pick-up you two, grab what you think you need on the way out. Don't need to be keeping the General waiting now." he said entering back into the corridor which the two following, they enter the elevator and started heading down the bay deck.
2213 Portside Hanger Bay
Entering the hanger bay heading towards General Czaski, "Couple questions, Who's got the gene? And out of those, who's gonna pilot?" he asked as he hoped that none of the marines was the answer to the second.

Marah stared at the viewport on the ship. "Okay bates, so I have shields and limited weapons, but you haven't started on the engines." she said into the intercom, she didn't wait on his reply and started again letting out a sigh. "Okay I'll take that for now just keep working on any ideas you have" she told him. The away team had been over on the ship now for about twenty minutes yet there had been no responce from them. This was starting to nibble at her in a way that angered her. She tried again in vain, "Serenity Command to Sierra Tango One or any Member please report".

0010 Hours BC-304/6 “Serenity” Main Engineering
The two scientists, well one scientist and one slightly helpful ancient tech were now exhausted. They couldn’t fix everything at once, and once they fixed something the power systems couldn’t keep up. Due to the massive charcoal mass of the power drive the ship wasn’t capable of doing much but standing still in space. His eyes hurt after staring at the various huds throughout the hours. Assembling teams with zero experience wasn’t helping due the number of injuries; three times the shield had failed in areas. It couldn’t compensate for the loss of power. “Decks, 4 to 17 sections 5 to 18 are locked. Hopefully we can fix them later.” he said as he grabbed a cup of tea. As he slumped into the chair he waited for the next part of calculations to take place. Sublight was online, but only to 76%, it could burn out any minute if pushed. The radio chirped and the message came through by the speakers. "Okay Bates, so I have shields and limited weapons, but you haven't started on the engines."[/i]. Simon just stared at Nekurrin. Tapping the radio he spoke quietly and tiredly. “Sublight engines just got back online. But don’t go to full thrust as they will burn out. Shields are flickering, but should remain stable unless someone shoots us. And the Asgard plasma beams are functional but there’s a 47% they could cause an overload in the main emitter coupling. Which would then rip open a large hole in our ship probably breaking us in two. Railguns are still limited, missiles should work unless the software is corrupted in which they may return to us. Other than that, I’d like to remind you, it was you that wanted to get into this mess. Bates out” he said turning the radio off. Turning back to his faithful Ancient he sighed again. “We don’t get paid enough for this”

Sitting on the floor leaning on the wall with the panel for the sublight control crystals just above him, he heard Law on the radio complaining about the engines being offline while him and Simon had just activated it. He heard Simon state that they weren't getting paid enough, but all Nekurrin can do was nod his head in agreement despite the fact that Nek doesn't get paid, he just gets stuff in return for helping whatever expedition team they stick him in. He looked over to his left to see one of the "no-tech" as he called them opening a panel with lit up crystals. "I hope you disconnected the power first, else you might-" he was cut off as sparks came from the panel and the lights on the ceiling had shut off. "Shut off something throughout the ship that we may need." He finished with a tone that suggested that he was getting annoyed. He looked out Simon, and said "Yea, we're not getting paid enough for this." He then looked back at the no-tech and pointed his finger towards the door. Although he didn't have the authority to kick someone out of the Engineering room, he had no doubt that Simon might back him up on the decision. As the man left, he looked back at Simon. "We only have a few options left to 'properly' fix the ship. And you know as well as I do one of those options involve the sensors if they still work, which I have my doubts." he said as he got back up and waited for what his friend had to say.

0012 Hours BC-304/6 “Serenity” Main Engineering
The power system failed, as he heard Nek talk to a technician behind him. Years ago he wouldn’t trust the kid with anything. Now they were best friends. He remembered the years where he continued to put the kid down all the time. But the two had now become inseparable. “And there goes the secondary sensor pallets” he mumbled, He was too tired to yell or anything. They had been working non stop since the disaster. "We only have a few options left to 'properly' fix the ship. And you know as well as I do one of those options involve the sensors if they still work, which I have my doubts."[/i] Nekurrin stated as the man got up and walked around the are for a stretch, “Well since the sensors are probably damaged and sending back inaccurate information, I wouldn’t trust them at all. Plus if you’re thinking of landing, that’s a 3% chance we’ll find a planet available for that. Even if we do, the ships structural integrity isn’t high enough to survive a landing” Simon replied as he put his hands over his head and leaned back in the chair. “We could try that experiment we wanted to do years ago. Use the Asgard beaming to ‘store’ people. You know the program I’ve been working on…beam everyone into storage but the engineers…gives us life support and the room to work with… But I’ve never been able to properly test the protocols as no one volunteers.” Simon suggested before bringing up another HUD. This one was for the main driver coil for the sublight engines. “I swear that commander will break it” he muttered as he tried to find a cup of tea in the rubbish around them. “You hungry?” he asked, pretending nothing was wrong like old times.
